     The Rowan County Master Gardener Volunteers have now joined
the "Information Age" and have developed their own web page. The
URL address for the Rowan County Master Gardners Webpage is
 {http://www.rowanmastergardener.com}. Master Gardeners now have
their own domain which will hopefully be easy to remember. 	The
old page has had a face lift with more  information that will be
benefical to those interested in gardening and the Rowan County
Master Gardener Volunteer Program. Master Gardeners have added
new information about their programs since August in an effort to
provide pertinant home gardening information to the general
public.
     The web page also contains important information about
events and activities provided by the Master Gardeners and
Cooperative Extension as well as a link to information from N.C.
State and other universities throughout the United States. There
are links for regional weather, Rowan County weather statistics,
poisonous plants, and wildlife and other interesting links.
     One of the new features is past garden columns from the
Salisbury Post  with a link to archived garden columns as well as
columns and newsletters from other Cooperative Extension agents.
	The public has the ability to access information tailored to
their personal needs via e­mail. Questions posed by e­mail often
receive a quicker and more accurate response from agents at
anytime of day or evening.
     The Rowan County Public Library in Salisbury has computers
on line for those that do not have a home computer.  The library
staff is always helpful in helping people access information.
